“Model parameters” are expressed as approximate parameter classes (e.g., 120B) and access tier. Where a “largest free-tier model” is mentioned, it refers to the biggest model we can reliably offer without paid access.

Adjunct
  • Optional: 0–1 short piece per quarter (essay, note, or review).
  • Contribute peer review and annotations when available.

  • Guest session(s) or co-teaching support as scheduled.

Assistant
  • 1 publishable piece per quarter (or 2 shorter notes/reviews).
  • Regular peer review contributions.
  • Draft 1 module per quarter or maintain/update an existing course.
  • Contribute exercises, prompts, and rubric improvements.
  • Lead sections, seminars, or discussion cohorts for at least 1 course per term.
  • Host at least 1 open session (salon/colloquy) per quarter.
  • Largest free-tier model (the “next-largest” free option; e.g. ~70B parameters).
  • Priority access during off-peak periods.
Associate
  • 2 publishable pieces per quarter (or 1 substantial long-form).
  • Occasional editorial stewardship (theme, column, or special issue support).
  • Develop 1 course per year (syllabus, assessments, lecture notes).
  • Maintain and improve 1–2 active course offerings.
  • Primary instructor for at least 1 course per term (or equivalent load).
  • Mentor assistants/adjuncts and review course materials.
  • 120B-parameter class models (where available).
  • Higher rate limits than free-tier access.
Professor
  • Sustained publication leadership: a long-form per quarter (or equivalent).
  • Set standards for quality, citation discipline, and editorial voice.
  • Develop 1–2 courses per year; oversee curricular coherence across offerings.
  • Own at least 1 flagship course track (updates, extensions, refinements).
  • Primary instructor for multiple offerings per year; lead seminars and examinations.
  • Mentor associates/assistants and guide research agendas.
  • 120B-parameter class models (where available).
  • Priority access during peak periods.
Emeritus
  • Optional: invited retrospectives, forewords, or occasional essays.
  • Mentorship and review of major work (capstones, special issues).
  • Advise on curriculum direction and approve major course revisions as needed.
  • Contribute signature lectures or masterclass modules.
  • Occasional masterclasses, keynote sessions, or high-impact seminars.
  • Mentor faculty and help set institute-wide academic norms.
  • Flagship model access (best available).
  • Includes 120B-parameter class models where applicable.
  • Highest priority/rate limits.
